What’s Happening Wednesday – Library Edition

Our local libraries are amazing resources for knowledge and learning. Did you know they are also a wonderful place to take your children for fun and educational events? This is a list of many story times and other events Triad libraries offer weekly.

Mondays:

9:30 – 10:15 am & 10:30 – 11:15am Benjamin Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool story time – Join us for a toddler and preschool story time with books, rhymes, a short film and a craft.

Tuesdays:

9:30, 10:30, 11:30am & 1:30pm Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool/Toddler story time – Simple books, hand rhymes, felt-board stories and fun-filled learning for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

10 – 11am McGirt-Horton Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool/Toddler story time – Visit their website for a list of specific events each week.

10:30 – 11:30am Walkertown Library (Walkertown) – Preschool/toddler story time

10:30 – 11:30am Lewisville Branch Library (Lewisville) – Preschool story time

10:30 – 11:30am – Clemmons Branch Library (Clemmons) – Toddler story time

Wednesdays:

9:30am, 10:30am & 11:30am Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool/Toddler story time – Simple books, hand rhymes, felt-board stories and fun-filled learning for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

9:30 – 11:30am Mount Airy Public Library ( Mount Airy) – Library assistant Jenny Wright leads the toddler story times, with the 2 year olds at 9:30am and 3 year olds at 10:30am.

10 – 11am Winston-Salem Central Library (New Location-First Baptist Church, 501 W. Fifth St.) – Preschool Films – Join us for an hour of films that preschoolers love. See your favorite characters and stories on the big screen. This program is free and open to the public.

10 – 10:30am Central Library (Greensboro) – Story time for Babies – babies up to 18 months and their parents or care-givers are invited for simple books, songs, hand rhymes, felt-board stories and fun-filled learning.

10:15am Kernersville Library Branch (Kernersville) – Preschool story time

10:30 – 11am Central Library (Greensboro) – Preschoolers with their parents or care givers are invited for simple books, songs, hand rhymes, felt-board stories and fun-filled learning.

10:30 – 11:30am Glenwood Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool/Toddler story time – These programs feature stories, finger plays, short movies, art, and more.

10:30 – 11:30am Southside Library (Winston-Salem) – Preschool/Toddler story time

10:30 – 11:30am Lewisville Branch Library (Lewisville) – Toddler story time

10:30 – 11:30am Reynolda Branch Library (Winston-Salem) – Toddler story time

11am – Noon Vance Chavis Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool/Toddler story time – Older siblings welcome too!

Thursdays:

10 – 11am Malloy/Jordan Library (East Winston-Salem) – Story time for all ages

10 – 11am Hemphill Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool/toddler story time

10:30 – 11:30am Walkertown Library (Walkertown) – Music and Movement

10:30 – 11:30am Central Library Branch (Greensboro) – Preschool story time

10:30 – 11:30am Benjamin Branch Library (Greensboro) – Preschool story time

10:30 – 11:30am Reynolda Branch Library (Winston-Salem) – Preschool story time

10:30 – 11:30am Rural Hall Library (Rural Hall) – Preschool story time

10:30 – 11:30am Clemmons Library (Clemmons) – Preschool story time

10:30 – 11:30am Kernersville Library (Kernersville) – Toddler story time

10:30 – 11:30am Mount Airy Public Library (Mount Airy) – Assistant Librarian Tommie Smith leads the 4 & 5 year olds in preschool story time.

4:30 – 5:30pm Reynolda Branch Library (Winston-Salem) – Teen Night – Check out the branch’s calendar for a list of specific activities each week.

7 – 7:30pm Mount Airy Public Library (Mount Airy) – Pajama Story time – Each Thursday night we gather to read bedtime stories, so wear your pajamas and bring your cuddly toys!

Fridays:

10:30 – 11:30am Malloy/Jordan Library (East Winston-Salem) – Preschool Movement and Music – Clap, march, dance to the music. Preschool music and movement is designed to engage children in movement and activities set to music.

10:30 – 11am Reynolda Branch Library (Winston-Salem) – Book Babies – Babies aged 0-18 months and their caregivers are invited to a story time featuring lap rhymes, bounces, songs, a book, and playtime.
